Totemic Call

Info

Strategy

There are four different totems that have a chance to be summoned by using Totemic Call. They are Stoneclaw Totem, Wrath of Air Totem, Searing Totem, and Healing Totem. Each of these is useful in different situations, however with the fact that you cannot choose which totem is going to be summoned, it is often best to play a creature from your hand instead. If you have two mana after you have played what cards you can or want to on your turn, this ability is great for putting additional minions on the field. Even if you get a 0/2 totem that doesn`t seem to do anything right away, it can still soak up some damage from your opponent, who will more than likely choose to kill the totems before dealing damage to your hero.

Sometimes if you have no obvious way of playing the cards in your hand to full effect, you can choose to summon a totem first, and then play off of which one you got. If you summoned a Searing Totem or Healing Totem, play more creatures for even more board control. If you got a Stoneclaw Totem and your opponent doesn`t have too many creatures, try playing a minion that you would want protected like a Knife Juggler or a Mana Tide Totem. If the summoned totem was a Wrath of Air Totem, your Lightning Storm just got a lot stronger, and maybe you could clear the board with spells.

Strategy

Of all the Hero Powers, Totemic Call is the most random Yogg-Saron, arguably the most random card ever released Random effects are effects which include some degree of randomness or RNG (random number generation). Random effects introduce an element of chance into Hearthstone. They can be hearthstone . While it has the potential to prove quite useful, it introduces a large measure of RNG "I think it’s important for there to be some kind of randomness in the game. I think it creates great stories and I don’t think you want a game that is entirely no RNG. Heck, hearthstone to the player`s actions. While this can be fun, it can also prove frustrating, and unreliable. Making the most of Totemic Call requires the ability to predict the possible outcomes of using it, and improvise effectively in response to which minion is summoned.

Totemic Call is a great dump for shamans` spare mana. The `lucky dip` nature of this Hero Power makes it ideal for non-critical expenditure. It is most similar to the paladin The  Paladin is one of the nine classes in Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, represented by Uther Lightbringer and Lady Liadrin. The one-of-each-totem limit generally prevents players from acquiring multiple instances of a given totem, but also allows players some degree of predictive ability when anticipating the results of using Totemic Call; players who already have a Searing Totem Searing Totem Set: Basic Type: Minion Subtype: Totem Class: Shaman Cost: 1 Attack: 1 Health: 1 See this card on Hearthpwn data page] For the option provided by Totemic Slam, see Searing Totem (Totemic Slam). hearthstone and Stoneclaw Totem Stoneclaw Totem Set: Basic Type: Minion Subtype: Totem Class: Shaman Cost: 1 Attack: 0 Health: 2 Abilities: Taunt TauntSee this card on Hearthpwn data page] For the option provided by Totemic Slam, see Stoneclaw Totem hearthstone active have a 50% of gaining a Healing Totem Healing Totem Set: Basic Type: Minion Subtype: Totem Class: Shaman Cost: 1 Attack: 0 Health: 2 Abilities: Restore Health Tags: Area of effect, Triggered effect At the end of your turn, restore 1 Health to hearthstone , and a 50% chance of gaining a Wrath of Air Totem Wrath of Air Totem Set: Basic Type: Minion Subtype: Totem Class: Shaman Cost: 1 Attack: 0 Health: 2 Abilities: Spell Damage Spell Damage +1See this card on Hearthpwn data page] For the option provided by hearthstone . This can be useful when calculating the odds of obtaining the desired totem.

Strategically, players can preferentially preserve existing totems in order to increase the odds of summoning a different totem next turn. Even within a turn, a player might choose to use Totemic Call prior to trading a totem against an enemy minion, in order to increase the chances of summoning a different totem; or after trading the totem in the hopes of gaining another of the same kind.

Common targets for AoEs include all enemy minions, all minions, and all characters. AoE is defined in hearthstone spells like Forked Lightning and Lightning Storm. Be aware that its Spell Damage bonus may cause it to instantly become the focus of your opponent`s attacks. While players with damaging spell cards may wish to protect it from their opponents` attacks with a Taunt The shield-like Taunt visual effect Taunt is a minion ability which forces the opposing player to direct any melee attacks toward enemy targets with this ability. Minions with Taunt (commonly referred to as Taunts) serve hearthstone , the Totem can itself be useful as a "soft taunt", attracting attacks from opponents fearing an area of effect ability on your next turn. Players not focusing on spell attacks may therefore wish to leave it unprotected, wasting their opponent`s efforts.

When playing against Wrath of Air Totem, it is important to assess just how significant its presence is. Unless the shaman is planning on making use of the Spell Damage bonus the next turn, spending an attack removing it may be a waste of potential damage to the enemy hero.
